Sixth Grade Spring Final Exam Review Sheet

Vocabulary Words: (See Attached Sheet)

Grammar:
Be prepared to edit mistakes in a series of sentences, adhering to the following rules of grammar usage:

1.     contractions (remember the apostrophe stands in the place for the missing number)

2.     possessives
·      singular possessives
·      plural possessives
3.     run on sentences (adding a semicolon or a comma and conjunction)

4.     fragments

5.     commas
·      introductory phrases
·      compound sentences
·      direct address
·      dialogue
·      appositive
·      items in a series
·      interjections



Subjects/ Verbs in Compounds:
Be able to label the subjects and verbs in a compound sentence.  
Parts of Speech:
Be prepared to identify all parts of speech in a context. (You will be given sentences where you will be asked to label the part of speech in the underlined word.) 

1.     noun (common, proper, concrete, abstract)
